Ravin Group, led by Vijay Karia, Chairman and Managing Director, has bagged the Indian Railways Contract for providing the high power fire survival cables. The contract worth 50 Crore INR has been awarded to Vijay Karia’s Ravin Group for the Udhampur – Srinagar – Baramulla Rail link. This Udhampur – Srinagar- Baramulla Rail link is nearly 272 KM long, and the work is in progress.
Ravin Group was awarded the contract with the technical knowledge, quality of work, and the reliability of the Fire survival cables. According to the contract, Vijay Karia‘s Ravin Group will supply the 33kv and 11kV high voltage fire survival cables. The cables will be used for the rail link for the Udhampur – Baramulla route, which is under the electrification phase. On the Katra-Dharam section, there is a 9.3KM long tunnel, and the Karia’s Ravin Group will supply the low voltage and control cables for the same.
The USBRL project or the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link project was approved in 2020 and is expected to complete in 2023. The entire cost of the project for the government is approximately 19,565 Indian rupees. The Ravin Group receives a total order worth 50 crore rupees.
